We provide London retailers with free, premium and eco-friendly paper bags, funded by advertising. Better for customers. Better for the environment. Better for you.
You register to become a Bagboard retailer. A member of our team visits your store to survey the space. If it meets our requirements, we sign an agreement to be your exclusive bag supplier.
We fit an RFID (radio frequency identification) system in your store. This is a small box that counts our bags as they leave. It tells us when you’re running low on bags so we can automatically send you new ones.
Once you’re set up, we start sending you our free, eco-friendly and reusable bags. Each new bag delivery needs to be scanned via our retailer app. Accompanying instructions explain how the bags should be distributed.
There are a number of ways your business can benefit by joining our retailer network.
Here are just a few.
Our bags are paid for by advertising revenue. That means we can supply them to you for free. And you can give them to your customers for free too.
Good for the environment
With every Bagboard bag you distribute, you save a single-use plastic bag from landfill. This reduces your store’s impact on the environment
Our bags are much better quality than single-use plastic bags. They’re stronger, hold more weight and last longer. Customers love them.
RFID technology tells us when your bag stock is running low. So new bags are sent out automatically without you lifting a finger.
Part of a community
Through our retailer app, you can share ideas, advice and insights with other retailers in our network.
We’re working on a financial rewards scheme for retailers who wish to distribute more specialist bag campaigns.
Our retailer network is made up of over 2,000 stores across Central London.
They range from convenience and health stores to cafes and pharmacies.
“Bagboard has relly helped the store by providing us with bags that are high quality. Our favourite thing is the bigger deeper message that it’s environmental and doing good. We really appreciate what bagboard are doing.

Our tech platform uses RFID technology to make sure everything runs smoothly and
you’re always supplied with bags. Here’s how it helps us and you.
RFID stands for ‘radio frequency identification’. This type of technology is already widely used in retail. Many retailers (such as clothes stores) use it to prevent shoplifting by fixing security tags to their products. It’s also used in libraries where books can be scanned without needing a barcode.
We use RFID so we can count how many bags are leaving stores. This helps us in two ways.
Firstly, if we know how many bags are being distributed from a store, we also know when stocks are running low. New bags can then be automatically sent out without you having to lift a finger.
Secondly, we can predict how many bags will be distributed within a certain time period. This helps advertisers plan and book their campaigns, which is how we’re able to supply bags for free.
