Our bags are made from heavy-duty kraft paper from FSC certified forests. So you can be confident that it’s up to the job, time and time and time again.
Our bags can be recycled in all the usual places. But if you’re super nice and return it to one of our participating stores, we’ll turn it into a shiny, new Bagboard. And you’ll get extra rewards as a little thank you from us.
Let’s face it. It’s the UK, so it rains. A lot. So we use Earth Coating to make sure that even in the wet, our bags remain super strong.
Because our lovely bags are good for the planet, there’s no bag charge. So you can put that 5p back in your pocket.
Our bags are so strong, they can hold up to 10kg. That’s around 120 muffins. Or 350,000 grains of rice. Or 300 lightbulbs. Although you may want to mix if up a bit if you’re not keen on people staring.
When is a bag not just a bag? When you use our clever Bagboard app to bring the ads on them to life.
Our bags look the part. So you can carry them around and not feel like you’re ruining your outfit.
We work with The Plastic Bank to recycle dozens of single-use plastic bags every time you scan one of ours.
For every day that someone scan our bags, we direct some of the money our advertisers give us to recycling 100 single-use plastic bags. To turn this into reality, we’ve partnered up with Plastic Bank, an incredible social enterprise who really know their stuff. They pay people in impoverished countries to collect and bring plastic to one of their collection points. Which helps reduce plastic waste and reduce poverty all at the same time.
We believe in recycled bags. And re-recycled bags. And re-re-recycled bags …
We know our bags still have a carbon footprint, that's why we're doing everything we can to make ours as eco-friendly as possible. We’re also working hard towards setting up recycling points in our partner retail stores. We'd love to be able to say 'each bag is made from old bagboards'. Help us make this dream come true by returning this one when you’re done. We’re also working with The Woodland Trust to make sure we’re not just carbon neutral, but carbon positive. So look out for their logo in the future too.
