We started Bagboard because we think advertising can be better. That interactions between brands and consumers can be more meaningful. More like the interactions people have with each other.
Our mission is to build an advertising platform that closes the gap between business and society. One that benefits all and makes advertising a force for good.
The story so far
We’ve been building the Bagboard platform since 2016. During that time, we’ve done a lot. We’ve built up a network of over 2,000 independent retailers. We’ve developed an eco-friendly bag that can be used again and again. We’ve created a very clever tech platform that uses complex algorithms and machine learning to link all the moving parts together. And we’ve been building our innovative new app that rewards people for engaging with brands.
But that’s just the start. We’ll launch Bagboard in London in 2019.

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment in every way we can. While paper is a better alternative to plastic, we know it still has an impact on the environment.
Our aim is to:
- Reduce the number of single-use plastic bags in circulation.
- Become a carbon neutral company by working with The Woodland Trust to offset any environmental impact caused by our supply chain.
- Further remove plastics from our environment by working with organisations like Plastic Bank.
- Better recycle our bags by giving consumers strong incentives to return used ones to stores.
